Ecological Importance of Alkaline Phosphatase Activity in Changing Marine Environmental Conditions

چکیده

The effects of changing hydrological and climatic conditions on the dynamics phosphorus (P) were studied in Northern Adriatic Sea (NA), a coastal system currently affected by these changes. P limitation is one key stresses NA it globally important phenomenon aquatic ecosystems. Therefore, response to stress inducing alkaline phosphatase activity (APA) was characteristic water types NA, formed freshwater input different thermic conditions. APA providing for microbial growth upper waters dominated assimilation during warmer part year stratified Contrarily, not mixing colder year, as well regeneration. In influenced freshwater, temperature had no effect APA, while high-salinity waters, an factor increase. highest occurred riverine nutrients supply, indicating that alteration anthropogenic nutrient loads might strongly change status this system. Furthermore, predicted increases winter sea summer Po River discharge could delay column mixing, prolonging periods limitation.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

The effects of chromium and cadmium on the activity of alkaline phosphatase lsoenzmes in rats

The aim of this study was to Investigate the toxic effects of chromium and cadmium on the activity of two isoenzymes of alkaline phosphatase in vitro and in vivo experiments. Oral administration and peritoneal injection of  CdCl2 or CrCl3 in rats reduced serum alkaline phosphatase by 21.5℅ and 25.5℅ respectively. At the same time high molecular weight alkaline phosphatase was elevated by 138℅ a...

Alkaline Phosphatase Activity of Leukocytes in Shock

By FRANCESCO VACCARI, BENITO SABOTTO AND ENRICO MANZINI T HE ROLE of the alkaline phosphatases in organic metabolism is riot yet clear. In addition to their role in nucleoprotein metabolism and in the process of ossification, they are also involved in glycogemi synthesis from hmexose diphosphate’ and presumably in gluconeogenesis from proteins.2 Their widespread distribution in the tissues, how...

Isolation and molecular identification of bacteria producing alkaline phosphatase enzyme from environmental sources

Alkaline phosphatase (ortho phosphate, monoester hydrolase phosphoinositide E. C. 3.1.3.1) is a non-specific metalloproteinase enzyme that is located inside periplasmic space of bacteria. This enzyme is used to measure freshwater sediment in genetic engineering for cleaning water. Isolation and molecular identification of the bacteria producing alkaline phosphatase and comparison of its product...
